Steven
T. Weiland, M.D., FACS
Dr. Weiland is a native of Wausau. He grew up on Wausau’s
southeast side and graduated from Wausau East High School
in 1989. He attended college at the University of Wisconsin
– Madison, and graduated with a degree in biology. He
attended the Medical College of Wisconsin medical school and
graduated in 1997. He completed his general and vascular surgery
residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002.
While a resident, he took a special interest in open and laparoscopic
bariatric surgery. He joined Surgical Associates in the summer
of 2002 specializing in general and vascular surgery with
an emphasis on bariatric surgery. Dr. Weiland performs two
to three bariatric surgeries a week and sees up to six new
bariatric patients in clinic every week. Over 90 percent of
Dr. Weiland’s bariatric cases are performed laparoscopically.
He is board certified in general surgery and is a member of
the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
Robert
T. Brebrick, M.D., FACS
Dr. Brebrick is a general and peripheral vascular surgeon
practicing in Wausau, WI. He attended Marquette University
and subsequently the Medical College of Wisconsin where he
graduated with honors (Medical Honors Society). He then attended
and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University
of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. He attended
and completed a residency in general surgery at Iowa Methodist
Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. He is board certified in
internal medicine, general surgery, and vascular medicine.
He is a fellow of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons.
He has been performing bariatric surgery since 1995 and has
helped develop a comprehensive bariatric program. He performs
open and laparoscopic bariatric surgery including revisional
surgery. He is committed to the safe and effective application
of bariatric surgery in a collaborative partnership with his
patients.
Christopher
A. Reising, M.D., FACS
Dr. Reising is a native of Rockford, Illinois and a graduate
of Indiana University in Indianapolis, where he majored in
Chemistry. He also earned a medical degree from Indiana University.
He completed his residency at Iowa Methodist Medical Center
in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dr. Reising is board certified with the American Board of
Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and
has special interests in vascular/endovascular surgery, advanced
laparoscopy, bariatrics and surgical oncology.
Prior to joining Surgical Associates, Dr. Reising practiced
in Stevens Point for four years.
